Trichoderma Liquid is a bio fungicide for protecting plant roots from common soil-borne fungal problems such as damping-off and root rot. It is useful for seedlings, newly transplanted plants and established plants growing in pots, grow bags, seedling trays and garden beds.

It can be used for regular root care, when reusing potting mix, and during humid or monsoon weather when pots and grow bags stay wet for longer and fungal problems are more likely to develop.

Key Benefits

  • Helps protect against damping-off and root rot
  • Useful for seedlings and newly transplanted plants
  • Suitable for vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit plants and ornamentals
  • Useful for regular root care, reused potting mix and humid growing conditions

What It Can & Can’t Do

Trichoderma works mainly in the soil and around the roots. It is most useful as preventive care and during the early stages of root problems.

It does not replace proper watering and drainage, and it is not the right treatment for fungal diseases already spreading on the leaves. Plants with badly rotted roots may also need damaged roots removed, fresh potting mix or improved drainage along with treatment.

How to Use

Mix 2 ml Trichoderma Liquid in 1 litre of water. Pour the diluted solution around the root area of plants in pots, grow bags and garden beds. For seedling trays, apply evenly to the potting mix without making it too wet.

Apply once a month for regular care and after transplanting when needed. Do not apply if the soil is already too wet.

Important Instructions

  • Shake well before use.
  • Avoid mixing directly with chemical fungicides, as they may reduce its effectiveness.
  • Store tightly closed in a cool, shaded place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

FAQs

Can I use Trichoderma in old or reused potting mix?
Yes. It can be applied when preparing reused potting mix. Remove old roots and plant waste first, especially if the previous plant had root problems.

Can I use Trichoderma with fertilizers?
Yes. You can continue your normal fertilizer routine. There is usually no need to mix the fertilizer and Trichoderma in the same solution.

Can Trichoderma save a plant with badly damaged roots?
It is most useful before root problems become severe. If the roots are already badly rotted, remove damaged roots where practical, improve drainage and correct excessive watering along with treatment.

Can I spray Trichoderma on the leaves?
This product is mainly intended for the soil and root area. If a fungal disease is already affecting the leaves, use a treatment suitable for that particular problem.
