How to Sow

Salvia Tricolor Mix can be started in a seedling tray or sown directly in its final pot. The seeds should remain close to the surface because light helps germination.

1. Fill the tray or pot with fine, moist seed starter mix.
2. Scatter the seeds thinly and evenly over the surface.
3. Press them gently and add only a very fine dusting of the mix.
4. Water the surface gently using a fine spray.
5. Keep the mix lightly moist in a warm location with bright light.
6. Transplant after 2–3 true leaves appear, leaving about 12 inches between plants.

Plant Care

The plant may still be young, or it may need more sunlight. Excessive fertilizer can also delay strong colour. Move potted plants to a sunnier location and stop heavy feeding.
