Prawn Meal Fertilizer is a dry soil fertilizer made from processed prawn material, including shells. It breaks down gradually in the soil and provides useful nutrients for home garden plants.
It is easy to mix into pots, grow bags, and garden soil and can be used throughout the growing season in home gardens across Pakistan.
Key Benefits
- Nitrogen helps with new leaves and shoots
- Phosphorus helps with root growth and flowering
- Prawn shells add calcium to the soil
- Chitin in the shells provides food for natural soil life
- Releases nutrients gradually instead of all at once

Bone Meal: Mainly provides phosphorus and calcium, with much less nitrogen.
FAQs
Does Prawn Meal have a smell?
It may have a mild seafood smell when first applied. Mixing it into the soil and watering afterward usually reduces the smell.
Can I use it for indoor plants?
Yes, but use a small amount and mix it properly into the soil. Because it can have a seafood smell, it is generally more convenient for outdoor pots.
Can I use it with compost or vermicompost?
Yes. Prawn Meal can be used along with compost or vermicompost when preparing or feeding garden soil.
Can I use NPK fertilizer with Prawn Meal?
Yes, but avoid giving full doses of several fertilizers at the same time. Prawn Meal already provides nitrogen and phosphorus, so additional fertilizer should be used according to the plant's needs.
