Pansy, also known as Garden Pansy, produces charming, face-like flowers in rich mixed shades of purple, yellow, white, blue, red, and orange. It grows well in cool weather, prefers full sunlight to partial shade, and is suitable for 6–8-inch pots, borders, window boxes, and garden beds.

Developed in Europe from wild viola species, it became popular worldwide for its bright winter and spring blooms, compact growth, and ability to add soft seasonal color to small spaces and flower beds.
