Where to Place

Position the boards where you have noticed droppings, gnaw marks, damaged packaging or regular rodent movement.

Good locations include:

  • Behind refrigerators and appliances
  • Along kitchen walls
  • Under cabinets
  • Inside pantry corners
  • Beside storage shelves
  • Near suspected entry points
  • Behind furniture
  • In shops, offices and warehouses

Rodents commonly travel beside walls instead of crossing open spaces. Place the board directly along their route for better results.

How to Use

  1. Open the board slowly and place it with the adhesive surface facing upward.
  2. Use it flat, fold it into an L shape or form a covered tunnel for narrow areas.
  3. Add a small amount of peanut butter, biscuit or another suitable food in the centre if bait is needed.
  4. Position the trap along a wall, behind an appliance or near signs of activity.
  5. Check it frequently and replace it when the surface becomes dusty, wet or heavily contaminated.

Use all three boards in different locations when the rodent route is uncertain.

Better Results

Remove exposed food, crumbs and accessible waste so rodents are more likely to investigate the trap. Keep food containers closed and clean the area around appliances and cabinets.

After activity has stopped, inspect walls, doors, drains and pipe openings for possible entry gaps. Closing these openings helps prevent another infestation.

Avoid placing the board on wet or dusty floors because dirt and moisture reduce the adhesive surface.

Handling

Hold the board by its outer edges and avoid touching the adhesive. Keep placed boards away from children, pets and non-target animals.

Check every board regularly so a captured rodent is not left unattended. Place a used board inside a strong bag before disposal.

FAQs

Does the board require bait?

Not always. Correct placement along an active rodent route can be enough. A small amount of peanut butter, biscuit or another familiar food can make the board more attractive when activity is low.

Why is the mouse avoiding the board?

The board may be away from its normal route, surrounded by other food or placed in an exposed area. Move it beside a wall, behind an appliance or near fresh droppings.

Can a glue board be reused?

An untouched board can remain in position while the adhesive stays clean and sticky. Replace it after a capture or when dust, moisture, hair or debris has covered the glue.

Can it be used outdoors?

Use it only in a dry, sheltered location. Rain, soil, dust and direct sunlight can reduce its effectiveness or damage the cardboard base.

How can accidental glue be removed?

Cooking oil can help loosen adhesive from hands, washable surfaces or animal fur. Work the oil into the glue gently, then clean the remaining oil with soap and water. Contact a veterinarian if a pet becomes extensively trapped.
