Imidacloprid 25% WP is a systemic insecticide used for both foliar sucking pests and soil-dwelling root-zone insects . It is commonly used for aphids, whiteflies, jassids, hoppers, thrips, mealybugs, grubs, and other root-zone pests on vegetables, fruit plants, roses, flowers, ornamentals, indoor plants, pots, grow bags, and garden beds.

For leaf and shoot problems, Imidacloprid helps control pests that suck sap from soft plant growth. Use it when you notice curling leaves, sticky honeydew, whiteflies under leaves, aphid clusters, weak new shoots, or mealybug activity.

For soil problems, it can be applied around the root zone when grubs or soil insects are damaging roots, weakening plants, or causing sudden plant decline in pots, grow bags, lawns, or garden beds.

Benefits

  • Systemic action: Works within treated plant parts
  • Pest control: Helps control aphids, whiteflies, jassids, hoppers, thrips, and mealybugs
  • Grub control: Soil application helps manage grubs and root-zone insects
  • New growth care: Helps protect tender leaves and shoots from sucking pests
  • Easy mixing: Wettable powder mixes in water for foliar spray or soil application

How to Use Imidacloprid 25% WP

Foliar Spray

  • Mix 2–2.5 grams in 1 litre of water.
  • Spray evenly on affected leaves, stems, and new growth.
  • Cover the lower side of leaves where pests often hide.
  • Spray in the early morning or evening.
  • Repeat after 7–10 days only if pest activity continues.
  • Avoid spraying open flowers or plants being visited by bees.

Soil Application

  • Mix 2 grams in 1 litre of water.
  • Apply around the root zone of affected plants.
  • Use when grubs, soil insects, or root-zone pests are suspected.
  • Apply on slightly moist soil so the solution can move into the root area.
  • Avoid overwatering after application.
  • Do not use as a routine soil drench if pests are not present.
  • Keep treated pots and soil areas away from children and pets until dry.
