1. Sowing:
   1. Setup: Use a seed-starting tray or small pots with drainage, filled with moist seed-starting mix.
   2. Sow: Sow seeds 1/8 inch (3 mm) deep, about 1 inch apart. Keep evenly moist in a cool place. Exclude light with an opaque cover until germination; check daily, remove the cover as seedlings emerge and then provide bright light.
   3. Transplant: Move seedlings to separate pots when they have 2–3 true leaves. Gradually acclimatize them outdoors before planting into their final containers or beds during cool weather.
2. Watering: Keep soil moist but not soggy. Water gently to avoid disturbing seeds.
3. Sunlight: Grow in full sun to partial shade in cool weather, with protection from strong afternoon sun as temperatures rise.
4. Pests: Use neem oil for pest control when pests are detected.
