How to Sow

1. Fill a seed tray or small pots with fine, clean and moist seed starter mix.
2. Scatter the tiny seeds thinly over the surface.
3. Press them gently against the mix without burying them.
4. Mist carefully and cover the tray loosely with clear plastic.
5. Keep the tray warm in bright, indirect light and open the cover daily.
6. Remove the cover after germination and transplant when the seedlings have several true leaves.

Coleus seeds require light for germination. Covering them with a thick layer of soil may prevent the seedlings from appearing.

Plant Care

Water when the upper soil begins to feel slightly dry. Keep the mix evenly moist without leaving it continuously soaked. Pinch the growing tips after the plant develops several healthy pairs of leaves. Remove flower spikes if you want the plant to continue directing its growth towards new foliage.
