Starting Brinjal from Seed

Sow 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting mix and keep it at about 24–29°C until seedlings emerge. Give seedlings bright light. Gradually introduce them to outdoor sun and wind before planting out in warm, well-drained soil, once nights stay above 10°C. Leave about 18 inches between plants.

Keep the soil evenly moist and support the plant if needed as fruits develop. Harvest brinjals when they are firm, glossy, and still tender for the best taste.
