Tomato Costoluto Fiorentino, also known as Costoluto Fiorentino Tomato or Ribbed Florentine Tomato, produces large, flattened red tomatoes with deep ribs, firm flesh, and a rich old-style tomato flavour. It grows well in warm weather, prefers full sunlight, and is suitable for 12-16 inch pots, grow bags, raised beds, and kitchen gardens with support from a stake or cage.
Originally from Florence, Italy, this classic Italian heirloom became popular for its decorative ribbed shape, juicy texture, and excellent use in salads, sandwiches, sauces, and fresh cooking.
