How to Sow
French Marigold can be started in a seedling tray or sown directly in its final container once the weather is warm enough.
- Fill a seedling tray, small pot or final container with fine, moist seed starter mix.
- Make shallow holes around ¼ inch deep, leaving about 1 inch between them.
- Place one seed in each hole and cover it completely with the starter mix.
- Water the surface gently with a fine spray to settle the mix around the seeds.
- Keep the mix lightly moist in a warm location with bright light.
- Thin or transplant after 2–3 true leaves appear, leaving 8–10 inches between plants.
Plant Care
