Coriander microgreens are tiny leafy shoots packed with bold aroma and intense coriander flavor — stronger and more fragrant than full-grown leaves. These microgreens grow in 10–14 days, producing bright green stems with delicate, feathery tops that are perfect for garnishing salads, curries, omelets, or desi dishes like daal or chaat.
Unlike mature dhania, which takes weeks to grow, coriander microgreens are fast, flavorful, and grow beautifully in shallow trays, kitchen windows, or balcony corners — all with very little effort. They're also rich in vitamin K, antioxidants, and digestive enzymes, making them both delicious and healthy.
Benefits of Coriander Microgreens
- Bold Dhania Flavor: Much more concentrated than mature leaves
- Quick Harvest: Ready in just 10–14 days from sowing
- Nutrient-Dense: High in antioxidants, vitamin C, and digestive benefits
- Great for Garnishing: Perfect for desi dishes, sandwiches, soups, and more
- Easy Indoor Growth: Grows well in trays with filtered sunlight and minimal care
Growing Coriander Microgreens
Tray Setup
- Use a shallow tray (1.5–2 inch depth) with drainage holes
- Fill with moist cocopeat or fine compost and level the surface
Seed Prep & Sowing
- Crack seeds lightly or soak for 6–8 hours to speed up sprouting
- Scatter seeds evenly without burying — press gently into the surface
- Cover with a newspaper or tray lid for the first 2–3 days
Light & Water
- Move to a bright, indirect light spot once seeds sprout
- Mist once or twice daily — just enough to keep the top layer moist
- Avoid direct sun and overwatering
Harvest
- Harvest when greens reach 2–3 inches and form the first true leaves (day 10–14)
- Snip just above the soil line and use fresh
Pair with Cocopeat for clean growing or Vermicompost for nutrient boost in trays.
